We build a nurturing environment based on our Core Values of Being, Belonging and Becoming. We guide your child’s path towards a brighter future.

Being

We believe in nurturing happy, valued children. We prioritise a child-led approach, recognizing each child’s unique qualities, and fostering holistic development.

Child Led

Encourages children to live in the present, explore their interests and develop their identities through ‘interest-based projects’ which allows children to choose activities based on their interests, such as art, building or nature exploration. We provide ample time for children to engage in unstructured play where they can make their own choices and follow their curiosity for exploration and discovery, and to take the lead in their learning experiences.

Learn Through Play

FFocuses on children experiencing life in the present moment, to explore and engage with the world around them. We provide opportunities for children to play and discover at their own pace and to use their own creative expression through art, music and role play opportunities. We value play and play-based learning, emphasizing the importance of play in learning. We provide a variety of play experiences that promote exploration, creativity and problem-solving. We observe and reflect on children’s play to understand their interests and needs. This informs our planning and interactions.

Happy, Valued & Self Confident

Promotes self-awareness and supports children in understanding their emotions, thoughts and abilities. Through mindful moments and sensory play, children engage in sensory activities like sand play, water play or exploring different textures, to help them connect with their senses. We value respectful interactions by actively listening and showing genuine interest in what children have to say and we validate their feelings and experiences. Positive reinforcement recognizes and celebrates children’s achievements, big and small, to help build their confidence and self-esteem. Quiet reflection time helps children to connect with their inner selves.

The Unique Child

Emphasizes the importance of allowing children to be themselves and enjoy their childhood without rushing through developmental stages. We meet children where they are at and support them to grow and learn. We celebrate individuality, showcasing talents by creating opportunities for children to share their skills and talents with the group, such as through a show-and-tell session. We encourage children’s personal reflections to express their thoughts and feelings through drawing or storytelling. We respect each child’s individuality and pace of learning.

Belonging

We foster a sense of belonging by encouraging empathy, building connections to the world around us, promoting community partnerships and encouraging multilingualism.

Home Away from Home

By creating a welcoming, comfortable environment with personalized spaces, displaying children’s artwork, photos of their families and personalized items in the classroom, we foster a safe and familiar environment for children. Cultural inclusion incorporates cultural elements and languages from the children’s backgrounds into the learning environment. By building relationships and family engagement in nursery activities and events and through regular communication, we help to build strong partnerships. Routines are established through consistent schedules to provide a sense of security and predictability.

Belonging-NurturingGlobalCitizens

Multilingual program

Threaded into our daily practice, children learn English, Arabic, French and Spanish through meaningful, play-based and relevant cultural experiences. Learning a language affords wondrous opportunities for growth and development in young children. Teaching young children languages provides them with invaluable advantages. Studies have shown they have better success on test results and an increased choice in future careers. They also develop an appreciation for living in a diverse and multicultural world. The earlier a language is introduced the easier it is for a child to mimic the unique sounds of the language through hearing people speaking it fluently. Young children are developing language skills rapidly and they quickly absorb what they hear. Research has shown that children who speak more than one language tend to be more creative thinkers and their brain functions may stay sharper as they age.

Nurturing Global Citizens

By helping children develop a sense of identity and belonging within their community, we use iInclusive practices which recognize and celebrate cultural diversity by incorporating events and traditions from different backgrounds. We ensure accessibility so that all children, including those with special needs, can participate in activities and feel included. We value individuality, acknowledging strengths, and recognize and celebrate each child’s unique abilities and achievements. We support identity and encourage children to share about their families, traditions and interests, so they learn to value, acknowledge, appreciate and feel a part of the global community in which they live.

Fostering Connections

Belonging is about children feeling connected to their family, community, culture and environment. This sense of connection is fundamental to human existence and helps children understand their place in the world. We build strong, positive relationships with peers, family and educators, and create an inclusive environment where all children feel valued and accepted. Through group play and collaborative projects we encourage children to build friendships and feel part of a community. We use positive and respectful language when interacting with children and encourage children to support each other throughout the day. Building relationships is key – we foster strong partnerships with families through regular communication, family events, and involving parents in activities to help create a sense of community. We have an inclusive environment which celebrates cultural diversity and ensures that all children and families feel welcome and respected. Through peer connections, we encourage positive interactions and friendships among children.

Becoming

We help children build self-confidence to become independent, resilient and courageous problem-solvers.

Independent

Becoming refers to the ongoing process of change and growth. It recognizes that children are always learning and developing, and it supports their journey towards reaching their full potential. Children learn and evolve through their experiences, participating in school readiness activities and independence is encouraged through self-care tasks and allowing children to make their own choices and decisions.

Community Partnerships

We are a community-focused nursery, embracing the UAE culture and identity within our curriculum and daily learning opportunities, joining forces to raise funds for worthy charities, and maintaining relationships with valued local groups. We cultivate onsite and offsite visits from partners around us whom we can learn from, such as the fire station, art galleries, heritage village and horse stables, and community events are held at the nursery and further afield. We have formed close relationships with primary schools, so the children and parents have a natural and familiar link when children head off to school.

The Resilient Child

Children are equipped with skills and knowledge for future challenges. Confidence is promoted by acknowledging and celebrating children’s achievements, no matter how small and praising children’s efforts and perseverance, emphasizing the value of trying and learning from mistakes. Building relationships through encouraging children to develop social skills by participating in group activities and learning to share, take turns, and resolve conflicts, and by facilitating opportunities for children to play and work together, building friendships and collaborative skills.

Curiosity

Continuous learning and growth is encouraged through various experiences, such as exploring interests in projects and activities related to the child’s interests and topics. Materials and opportunities are provided for children to express themselves creatively through art, music and imaginative play. Children are engaged in activities that require critical thinking and problem-solving.
